I had wanted to help people who had serious troubles via social media but after 2 years of research I found that either folks do not really want help or the algorithym is preventing people from getting it. I'm just not finding them. Perhaps they are frustrated because the standard model of self help these days is only to achieve vibrant health and material wealth and does not apply to them.
You do not need to embrace a religion or buy a pill.
You can work with your mind and thoughts to feel better. Yet maybe that message is not fancy enough or too difficult.
We live in weird times folks and the people who do not fit in, such as our elderly, abused or severly handicapped, who may be in isolation, are being totally neglected.
These are the suicides no one talks about because they had no one to help or remember them.
Read on to understand because the world today is only filled with blaming without much understanding.
Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade using reason and argument. No blame, no reasoning, no argument, just understanding. If you understand, and you show that you understand, you can love, and the situation will change.
My Response: You got that 100%!
My Dad had a Tool and Dye Machine Shop from 1950's to 1980's that his father, who came off the boat from Italy in 1910, had started. My fathers' uncle started the town shoe store in 1930's until early 80's too. Everything closed up, manufacturing went overseas. Town had highest unemployment rate in state. Drugs and crime came in. Stuff got torn down or sold off. Retired family got old and sick, had to pay out of pocket for healthcare and went broke. Great Uncle with the shoe store, who was medic in Germany in WWII, (no children) was alone in elderly housing. Barely anyone came to his funeral when he passed away 10 years ago (my last close relative) one week before his 100th birthday. I have two trunks of items from my parents and great uncle. Everything else is gone and everyone has forgotten them.
Oh I forgot to mention my Dads' business, which did parts for Nasa, Lockheed Martin & GM (my dad never went to college)...well it was on the same property as my grandfathers' house which was built in 1700's. It was an inn during the Civil War and Thomas Edison spent his summers there. My grandfather bought the property from the Inns' Owner "Old Man Kingsbury" who was friends with Edison, and it was filled with old inventions and antique guns- you name it..it was there. House still exists but it has been gutted and all the Indian Lands and natural springs torn out and placed with new cheap houses 20 years ago. My brother died 30 years ago. His ashes were out there. Now they rest on some cheap housing complex community lot. (end of my response).
The personal parts which I might share a tiny bit have been challenging...managing Complex PTSD mostly because of my cancer ridden, brilliant and violent alcoholic mother who was born in Nazi occupied France, spending every summer RVing Cross Country, losing my grandmothers piano and never playing again, homelessness, no car and living with hoarders and then overcoming the "almost ending up in a wheelchair" situation.
Years later I worked with Veterans who had PTSD in a Magical Virtual Reality Land that I had created.
Anyhow... now I am alone, have an old cat, live off less than most (savings almost gone). I make Elvis videos because my Dad was similar to Elvis, except he was the Mobster Version.
Eccentric Childhood for Sure!
Got into learning "Wisdom" to cope and learning to live very simply and to be at peace with less than most.
Because of chronic pain I have had to make BIG Lifestyle changes too. Had to give up things, learn to adapt & to find acceptance regardless of the circumstances.
Some things I learned along the way...
Sometimes things don't last and you need to let go.
There is no Greener Grass or Magic Fix, you can only manage your mental states day by day, moment by moment.
You are your only real anchor in this life. Be patient with yourself and others for this life is not always easy.
Try to learn things so you can atleast say in the end that you tried to work with what was given to you.
For those really struggling...I spent most of my life here.
But no matter what you will be ok.
Never forget that.
My website is about Pandoras Box. Well inside it, below all the evils of this world, there lies hope.
So for those with no family or close friends, those with disabilities or pain, those whom medications do not help, those in abusive situations...well I am here and you are not alone.
Never Give Up!
Thanks for reading.
My purpose is to help mankind use their mind more wisely to have better control over their emotions, so that humanity may have a brighter future. First with my art to show them the world beyond their senses; both the beauty & horrors, now watching over La Palma, later videos related to the management of PTSD/CPTSD.
